Our Interview with Upcoming Rapper $kumbag Deuce

Our team got to sit down with $kumbag Deuce to get to know more about him and what he is up to currently!

Who is $kumbag Deuce?


$kumbag Deuce started making music at 6 he released his first major project Troubles of Deuce March 4th, 2020 with his single Bussit, and continued to create a name for himself from there. He strives to make music for everybody whether that be the culture, people going through a struggle, or people who just like his music. With his passion for music, he gives people a voice and someone real to relate to. Deuce moved to Georgia Fall of 2019 which helped boost his career. Here he met his former manager and friend Al Fargo and made many connections. In early 2020 he found out he had a kid on the way which really gave him the push he needed to focus on music and it’s been up ever since.


The Interview

Interviewer: What first got you into music?


$kumbag Deuce: Just has been around it my whole life listening to it and watching BET seeing how much fun the rappers were having. 


Interviewer: Who or what inspired you to make music?


$kumbag Deuce: My livelihood inspires me to make music. 


Interviewer: What is your creative process like?


$kumbag Deuce: Listening to the beat, hearing what it tells me to say, and taking in how I feel or what I've been seeing. 


Interviewer: Has your musical journey had a deliberate direction?


$kumbag Deuce: I feel in my soul every day that this is what I'm meant to do, It's my life.


Interviewer: What is your biggest musical challenge?


$kumbag Deuce: Staying focused and being patient cause I want it to pop off so fast. 


Interviewer: What would you be doing right now, if it wasn’t for your music career?

$kumbag Deuce:
Probably getting in trouble tbh cause I wouldn’t have a goal. I wouldn’t know what I wanna do but I’d know I want money. 


Interviewer: How do you feel the Internet has impacted the music business?


$kumbag Deuce: Negatively cause it discourages new artists cause they see people who don't take the craft seriously blow faster than them but at the same time Positively cause it's a new wave and makes it easier to get discovered. 


Interviewer: What is the best advice you’ve been given?


$kumbag Deuce: Stay focused and if you want something bad enough keeps working towards it. 


Interviewer: If you were talking to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give



$kumbag Deuce: Get tunnel vision asap you know your gift and what you can do, focus on it and invest early. 


Interviewer: If you could change anything about the industry, what would it be?


$kumbag Deuce: I'd get rid of the fakes the phonies and the haters, No more personas. 


Interviewer: What’s next for you?


$kumbag Deuce: To keep moving forward the only way to go is up. I'm planning to shoot videos, new album is dropping Slow Rides and Good Vibes, and to keep going up. Hit me for a feature I'm trynna expand my horizons.

My new album coming in November 2021 Slow Rides and Good Vibes it's gonna show how versatile I am as an artist and also show how I can thrive in any lane. It will be available on all major platforms.
